This energy will be supplied by Atlas Renewable Energy and AES Andes.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative aligns with the company\u2019s ongoing decarbonization process and environmental protection efforts. It will apply to the nine operations that the company has in the Elqui, Huasco, and Copiap\u00f3 valleys.<\/p>\n<p>CMP\u2019s General Manager, Francisco Carvaja, stated, \u201cThis milestone reaffirms CMP\u2019s leadership as a key player in the transition toward more sustainable mining. These agreements not only ensure a reliable and renewable electricity supply but also reinforce our commitment to operational efficiency and the sustainable development of the communities where we operate. It is a decisive step toward the future we want to continue building for CMP and the regions where we operate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electricity Supply<\/strong><br \/>\nOnce the agreements are fully operational, **Atlas Renewable Energy** will supply up to 450 GWh annually. To achieve this, it will develop a solar project in the Atacama region, incorporating a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to provide 100% renewable energy 24 hours a day.<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo Solar, Regional Manager for Chile and the Southern Cone at Atlas Renewable Energy, emphasized, \u201cThis new supply agreement continues to position us as a strategic partner in energy solutions for major industry players who trust us to power their operations with long-term contracts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In turn, AES Andes\u00a0will be able to provide up to 450 GWh annually starting in 2027, drawing from its existing renewable power plants and new renewable projects under development in northern Chile.<\/p>\n<p>Javier Dib, CEO of AES Andes, stated, \u201cThis agreement reaffirms our commitment to accelerating the future of energy, contributing concretely to the decarbonization of the country.
