The certification, obtained after audits of 69 processes, reinforces the company\u2019s commitment to operational excellence, workplace safety, and sustainable development.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following a rigorous audit process that began in March 2025 and was led by Bureau Veritas, a globally recognized company in certification, inspection, and testing services, Compa\u00f1\u00eda Minera del Pac\u00edfico (CMP) successfully certified its operational and business model\u2014Process Risk Management (GRP)\u2014under three international standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. This certification confirms that CMP has formally recognized processes in quality management, environmental responsibility, and occupational health and safety.<\/p>\n

Today, obtaining these certifications is not just a competitive advantage but an essential requirement to stand out in the mining industry. They reflect a company\u2019s commitment to responsible management, compliance with international standards, and continuous improvement of processes, products, and services, in an increasingly demanding context in terms of quality, sustainability, and safety.<\/p>\n

The Process Risk Management (GRP) model is a transversal, simple, and efficient management system that enables CMP to anticipate risks, reduce variability, and promote continuous improvement from strategy through to operations. As highlighted by Paulina Andreoli, CMP\u2019s Risk Management and Sustainability Manager: \u201cHaving this certification validates that our management model is aligned with international standards and consistently reflects what we, as a company, declare and practice.\u201d<\/p>\n

To achieve this important milestone, CMP carried out audits across 69 processes in the Copiap\u00f3 Valley, which included field visits, review of documentary and legal evidence, analysis of performance indicators (KPIs), verification of controls, risk management assessments, and interviews across different organizational levels. All of this aimed to ensure that procedures and work instructions were correctly implemented and applied, from senior management to operational teams.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe GRP model facilitated a smooth and consistent audit. Its integration as a management system was evident, and its implementation across mines, plant, and port set it apart from similar processes,\u201d stated Nathalia Videla, Certification and Training Director at Bureau Veritas.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

ISO standards are internationally recognized frameworks that ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of products and services. They also promote ethical and sustainable practices\u2014fundamental to addressing present and future challenges in strategic sectors such as mining.<\/p>\n

Recognition of the team<\/strong>
On Thursday, July 24, at the Cerro Negro Norte facilities, recognition was given to part of the 140 people interviewed during the audit process, whose commitment and dedication were key to achieving this certification.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is recognition of everything we had already been doing with our GRP model. We did not implement a new system; rather, we rigorously evaluated the one we already had. This strengthens our commitment to quality, the environment, people\u2019s safety, and the continuous improvement of our processes,\u201d emphasized Taudy Santana, Head of Strategic Risks and Audit at CMP.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
