Since August 2025, the company has implemented a system that allows small and medium-sized transport companies in Atacama and Coquimbo to receive payments within just seven business days\u2014an unprecedented initiative in the mining industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n For the third year in a row, Compa\u00f1\u00eda Minera del Pac\u00edfico (CMP) has been recognized as one of the best paying companies in Chile. The award, granted by the Chilean Commodities Exchange (Bolsa de Productos de Chile) and the Chilean Association of Entrepreneurs (ASECH), in partnership with El Mercurio, highlights public and private organizations that pay their suppliers on time.<\/p>\n In this edition, CMP was honored in the Mining category, alongside two other companies in the sector, reinforcing its leadership in best payment practices. Additionally, the company received the \u201cOn-Time Payment to SMEs\u201d seal, which recognizes organizations committed to supporting the development and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>\n Currently, more than 40% of CMP\u2019s suppliers are headquartered in the Atacama and Coquimbo regions, receiving payments within 15 days of invoice issuance. SMEs from other regions are paid within 20 days, while other suppliers receive payment between 23 and 28 days.<\/p>\n Since August this year, CMP has also implemented a pioneering system in the industry: SMEs in Atacama and Coquimbo linked to mineral transportation now receive their payments in just seven business days, setting a new standard in the sector.<\/p>\n \u201cFor CMP, this recognition is a great achievement that aligns with our strategy of staying connected with the territories where we operate and, above all, with smaller companies that must receive timely payments, as this enables them to grow and participate in more operations. We will continue working to make this practice an industry standard and contribute to the economic development of our communities,\u201d said Carlos Sep\u00falveda, CMP\u2019s Chief Financial Officer.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Best Paying Companies award seeks to promote greater transparency in invoice approval, facilitate SME access to capital markets, provide accurate payment information, and encourage self-regulation through best practices.<\/p>\n \u201cIn this decade, we have seen a sustained improvement in payment times, which directly impacts the liquidity and growth potential of SMEs.
