{"id":812,"date":"2022-11-27T02:34:21","date_gmt":"2022-11-27T02:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cmp.portablehost3.net\/\/?p=812"},"modified":"2024-08-13T02:35:49","modified_gmt":"2024-08-13T02:35:49","slug":"destacamos-en-gestion-de-seguridad-durante-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cmp.portablehost3.net\/en\/destacamos-en-gestion-de-seguridad-durante-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Outstanding security management in 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Two awards for commitment to the development of safe, sustainable and inclusive mining were granted to Compa\u00f1\u00eda Minera del Pac\u00edfico (CMP) by the Regional Mining Safety Committee (Coresemin), one of the main institutions promoting prevention in the Atacama region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The company won first place among mining companies in the category &#8220;Best Safety Management of the Year 2021&#8221;, a recognition of CMP&#8217;s excellence and discipline to increase risk control in each of its processes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The company was also recognized for its commitment to female leadership, receiving the &#8220;Inclusion of Women in Mining&#8221; distinction, which is especially evident in executive positions, with 40% of the workforce participating at this decision-making level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8220;This type of recognition fills us with pride, because it is the result of the commitment we all have at CMP to take care of our people, give value to our territories and develop sustainable mining,&#8221; says Francisco Carvajal, general manager of the company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The executive also emphasized that, in this quest for excellence, the inclusion of women has been relevant to bring diversity to the teams. &#8220;We have set out to move forward in line with the new times and integrate different points of view that enrich our people and, ultimately, our management. That is why we are increasingly incorporating women in executive positions, reaching 40% of female staff at this level this year, compared to 0% in 2019,&#8221; she says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">These objectives achieved by CMP, which were recognized by Coresemin, are part of a plan that the company designed to improve its management and accident and safety rates at its sites and in the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In this regard, Macarena Herrera, Occupational Health and Safety Manager, commented that &#8220;we have a strict risk management model, which implies working with greater safety for our workers, collaborators and communities.
