Specifically, 170 thousand kilos of salt and 33 storage ponds were granted, which are essential to maintain and ferment the harvested olives in optimal conditions, achieving a high quality product.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Herman Von Mayenberger, president of the Asociaci\u00f3n Gremial Agr\u00edcola Provincia del Huasco (AGAH); Jhon Patrick McNab, Sustainability Manager of Compa\u00f1\u00eda Minera del Pac\u00edfico (CMP); and Italo Vitali, representing the associated farmers, spoke at the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In this regard, Herman Von Mayenberger emphasized that &#8220;the idea is to generate a virtuous circle in which we produce quality olives and our consumers look for our fruit, giving us the value to be able to sustain our farms. To date we have granted more than 400 ponds, for more than 400 thousand kilos of olives, in addition to carrying out work on the olive growers&#8217; land, pruning, spraying, cleaning, fertilizing and doing everything necessary for olive growing to once again become a hope in terms of production and quality&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">John Patrick McNab expressed his satisfaction with the development of ProOlivo, saying: &#8220;I am delighted to see so many beneficiary farmers actively participating and witnessing the results of this agreement. The salt and the ponds delivered today are the fruits that prove the operation of the fund. As Compa\u00f1\u00eda Minera del Pac\u00edfico we are committed to fostering a sustainable relationship with the territory based on shared growth, and in this sense we are participating and contributing so that the neighbors of Huasco have a sustainable future and can consolidate their dreams&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In turn, Italo Vitali valued the new delivery of benefits, adding that &#8220;I think the work that AGAH and CMP have been doing for the benefit of olive growing in Huasco is excellent, delivering storage containers and salt, carrying out earthworks and fertilizing, all this is very good because you can see the result in the fruit that is the olive, so I am very happy and hopefully this support will last.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Another farmer who was present at the ceremony was Efra\u00edn Alday, who said: &#8220;I think it is wonderful to find this group of people, leaders of our area, who have responded to AGAH&#8217;s call, which means that it is working well.
