Caldera Impulsa closes its 2024 version by supporting 20 local entrepreneurs

The program aims to promote entrepreneurship in the commune, providing them with tools for financing, administration, digital marketing and advertising.

In their commitment to strengthen the development and reward the good initiatives of local entrepreneurs, Compañía Minera del Pacífico (CMP) and Aguas CAP held the closing ceremony of their Caldera Impulsa program, which in its 2024 version benefited 20 business ideas from the port community.
The main objective of the program, promoted local companies, is to consolidate enterprises through an investment fund which, in turn, is accompanied by a training process that enriches working conditions, competitiveness and the acquisition of technical tools for the optimal development of businesses in the territory.

In this regard, CMP’s Superintendent of Communications and Public Affairs, Soffia Gotelli, said that the program is a faithful reflection of the company’s aim to develop the territories as a whole, making a valuable contribution to their inhabitants. “Caldera Impulsa is proof that people’s dreams can come true with contributions like this one. Together with Aguas CAP today we are taking another step for the development of Caldera; we congratulate all the beneficiaries in this fourth version, through which we have managed to provide resources and tools for these enterprises to grow and give greater social and economic dynamism to the commune”, he said.

The selected projects, over a period of five months, went through three development stages: technical consulting, innovation workshops and finance workshops, the latter with special emphasis on the execution of an investment plan focused on the 1 million pesos in financing for each entrepreneur, granted the program.

Patricia Cortés, owner of Vivero La Changuita and one of the 20 beneficiaries, commented that Caldera Impulsa allowed her to diversify her business: “I had an empty space where I had the idea of having birds. I want to do something very nice in the future, in which Caldera will have a place where both children and the family in general can observe animals and plants”.
Another beneficiary was Juan Pablo Rivera, representative of Lontra SpA, a kind of tourist pier located in the Bahía Inglesa area. “This fund has helped us a lot to start our first activities in the construction of this pier. At the same time, we are promoting the sector of the Marine Protected Area of Multiple Uses, since it has a lot of potential”, he assured.
Caldera Impulsa began four years ago with the purpose of promoting the sustainable development of SMEs in the commune, mainly those initiatives linked to the areas of tourism and commerce. At the end of the ceremony, the companies presented certificates of participation to the beneficiary SMEs.
